Project Guild of LaGrange would like to send out a special thank you to the community of Oldham County and their visitors for attending the 41st annual Oldham County Day. Starting with the Grand Marshal Luncheon, followed by the YMCA 1 M and 5K races, Dancing in the Street concert, sponsored by the City of LaGrange, the annual LaGrange Rotary Club pancake breakfast, the Oldham County Day Parade, the Children’s Carnival Games sponsored by the LaGrange Christian Church to the gunfight at high noon and all of the entertainers on the courthouse square, the annual Fireman & Police Tug of War, the over 125 Booth participants and the DeHaven Baptist Church for for cool air & cool water. This Oldham County Day had something for everyone.
We would like to thank personally LaGrange Police Chief Kevin Collett, Sargent Conway, the LaGrange Police Department, Chief Greg Smith, Major Tim Wakefield, and the Oldham County Police Department, Sheriff Steve Sparrow, the Oldham County Sheriff ’s Department, Jailer Mike Simpson, City and County government and the Oldham County Road Department. Thanks again to the firehouse brigade from KSR and all the early risers on Sunday morning that helped clean up our courthouse square and downtown streets.
Project Guild of LaGrange is always pleased to present Oldham County Day. We appreciate the understanding and patience of our friends and families during the many days of planning and preparation. I want to express my gratitude to the eighteen ladies in Project Guild of LaGrange for their hard work and total dedication to ensure a successful, safe day. Oldham County Day is Project
Guild’s way of giving back to the community.
Please join us again next year on the 3rd Saturday in July for the 42nd annual Oldham County Day.
